Founding by the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) and relevant organizations and institutes, the Artificial Intelligence Working Committee of the Internet Society of China (ISC) was established in Beijing on Oct 21.

The main task of the Committee is to carry out related exchanges and cooperation of technology research development and application promotion in the field of artificial intelligence, and to promote the construction of an equal, open, safe, and mutual-aid artificial intelligence innovation ecosystem. 

Mr. HUANG Tiejun, President of BAAI was elected as Director General of the Committee, and representatives from China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, iFlytek, Gridsum, PengCheng Laboratory, Tsinghua University, and Peking University were elected as Vice Directors.

"Artificial intelligence has become one of the core driving forces for the high-quality development of the digital economy. It is hoped that the working committee will well-engage into the work of relevant standards setting, research on the computing power convergence and interconnection mechanism, and platform construction etc", said HE Guili, the Vice President of ISC.
