On September 17, 2020, members of the Chinese Domain Names Initiative (CDNI) of the Internet Society of China (ISC) visited Tencent. They introduced the latest progress of EAI both inside and outside China. QQ Mail team also demonstrated their newest R & D Progress in supporting EAI.

Wei Pei, the Deputy Secretary-General of ISC and Chairman of CDNI, expressed that Chinese IDNs are of great significance in promoting cultural confidence and facilitating Chinese users to access the Internet. The Chinese government encourages and supports the technical research, promotion and application of Chinese IDN. To widely use Chinese IDN requires a good environment and the cooperative efforts of the industry, especially the exemplary role of leading Internet companies in China. In the next step, CDNI will promote the formulation of relevant action plans and roadmaps to accelerate the development and application of Chinese IDN.

The original design intention of Tencent's products are to help customers use the Internet more conveniently and maximize the social value of the Internet, according to the Director of QQ Mail team. QQ Mail is willing to coordinate the R & D on EAI support and has made some achievements. They will continue to promote the research on EAI.
