ISC and Ningbo Government Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of March 24, Internet Society of China (ISC) and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government jointly signed Strategic Cooperation Frame Agreement (hereafter referred to as “Agreement”). Mr. LU Wei, the Secretary-general of ISC, Mr. WANG Jianhou, the Deputy Mayor of Ningbo Municipal, Mr. ZHANG Liangcai, the Vice Minister of Organization Department of Ningbo Municipal Committee, Mr. ZHANG Yan, the Deputy Secretary-general of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, and Mr. SHI Xiansheng, the Deputy Secretary-general of ISC attended the signing ceremony. The signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. YU Weinian, the Director of Ningbo Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee and Secretary of Party Working Committee.
Mr. Secretary-general LU Wei pointed out that the Agreement is an embodiment that conforms to the Reports of the 18th CPC National Congress and the 3rd Session of National People’s Congress as well as an exploration to implement “Internet Plus” Project. As a pioneer city launched reform and opening-up policy, Ningbo City is a city with both developed traditional economy and innovation and startup market environment. The cooperation between ISC and Ningbo Municipal will harmoniously integrate the Internet features and the modern manufacturing of Ningbo city, which may greatly propel the rapid development of Ningbo Internet economy.
It is reported that the strategic cooperation mainly covered the following aspects, to back up for the transformation and upgrade of traditional industry, to launch planning and consultation for information industry, to support overseas talent recruitment and the construction International e-commerce industrial park etc. ISC will offer consultation service for Ningbo Internet economy development and information industry planning, as well as support the construction of Ningbo Smart City, Intelligent Park in Ningbo Free Trade Zone and the Big Data Credit Investigation Platform.
According to the Agreement, ISC and Ningbo Government will collaborate on overseas talent recruitment. Relaying on the available national incubator in Ningbo Innovation Park, the both sides will jointly establish a “China Internet Innovation Park for Overseas High-level Talents”, to attract overseas talents by offering favorable conditions in conducting technology transfer, technology financing and off-shore startup.
Furthermore, ISC will actively serve as a go-between for the collaboration between the Internet companies and Ningbo Government. Based on the demonstration advantages and industrial base of Ningbo Free Trade Zone Cross-border E-commerce, it is planned to build “China International E-commerce Industrial Park” in Ningbo Free Trade Zone.
The unveiling ceremony of “China International E-commerce Industrial Park” and “China Internet Innovation Park for Overseas High-level Talents” was held as a parallel event.
