Hosted by Internet Society of China (ISC), the 2012 China Internet Conference opened in Beijing, China on September 11, 2012. It is one of the annual top events in Chinese Internet community that it has come to the 11th session this year. The main theme of the Conference is “Openness?Trust?Convergence——Meeting the New Era of Mobile Internet”.
In her welcome addressing, the President of ISC Madam Qiheng HU, said that Internet had kept a fast speed of development in recent year, and new emerging applications such as the Internet of Things, Could Computing, Mobile Intelligent Terminal brought many new growth points to the Internet industry in China. Openness is the nature of the Internet. Trust is the cornerstone of the healthy and sustainable development of Internet and safeguard of security. And the convergence is the key for current Internet development.

Officials from Minister of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the State Internet Information Office (SIIO) attended the opening ceremony of the Conference and released addressing and theme reports.

Mr. Miao Wei, the Minister of MIIT said a comprehensive management system will be introduced to include government management, industrial self-regulation and supervision by society over the Internet industry.

On the opening ceremony, ISC conferred award to 29 Internet companies for their excellent performance of self-regulation. Meanwhile, ISC recommended various best practiced model and innovative products of mobile Internet to the public, selected from hundreds of products of APPs, mobile applications, or terminals.

The 4 days Conference is composed 12 sub-forums covering different fields of Internet, like mobile Internet, Internet security, online marketing, e-commerce, online media, innovation and technology etc. A lot of leading Internet entrepreneurs and experts from home and abroad are attracted to the Conference and make speech.
