The Cross-straits E-commerce Cooperation & Exchange Conference (2012) Convened in Beijing

On November 21, 2012, the Cross-straits E-commerce Cooperation & Exchange Conference (2012) was convened in Beijing. This conference was jointly hosted by cross-straits institutions, including Internet Society of China (ISC), China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC) and E-commerce Committee of China Association of Trade in Services (CATIC) from mainland, Institute for Information Industry and Chinese Non-store Retailer Association from Taiwan area.
The theme of the conference is “The E-commerce Cooperation and Development from Global Perspective”.
The representatives from over a hundred companies attended the conference, including JD.com, Suning.com, Vancl.com, 99Bill.com, Tenpay.com, 55Tuan.com from mainland and Sensengo.com, Neweb.com.tw, First Bank, Twv Business Transaction Center from Taiwan area etc.
During the conference, one of the sections was arranged for the companies to introduce themselves. 30 cross-straits companies took turns to introduce the company’s features and development strategies and expressed their cooperation intentions. Some of the companies successfully got into touch with the counterpart company with cooperation intention.
Many attendees said that the conference agenda was properly arranged, providing an efficient exchange platform for the cross-strait companies. Based on the conference, the cross-straits companies could clearly understand the cross-strait e-commerce industry development situation and properly expressed cooperation intentions, driving cross-straits e-commerce companies enhancing understanding and cooperation.
