The 13th CIC Successfully Closed in Beijing

The 13th CIC was brought to a successful close on August 28th in Beijing.
Taking “To Create Infinite Opportunities to Forge Engine for Economy Development in the New Era” as the theme, the 13th CIC launched 21 forums related to popular domains and hot topics. Attended government departments representatives and experts etc. conducted extensive and in-depth discussions from different perspectives around the topics of mobile Internet, Internet finance, smart transportation, big data and cloud computing etc.
The number of overall attendees of this conference exceeds the last one. It is calculated that more than 400 companies and agencies participated in the CIC, over 300 speakers delivered keynote speeches and over 300 media conducted thorough reports during the CIC.
Mr. CHEN Lidong, the Deputy Director of Ministry of Telecommunications Administration Bureau, delivered a speech. He pointed out that this session of CIC is a grand meeting within Internet industry of high specification, professionalization and influence. This session gave the full expression of Internet Spirit—“Openness, Equality, Coordination and Sharing”. Mr. CHEN gave five suggestions from industrial management perspective: strengthening Internet infrastructure construction, enhancing network information consumption, keeping fair competition order, focusing on international Internet hotspots, improving enterprise’s global influence. He expected that the Internet industry could hold the foothold of social and economic development frontier, follow the transformation, collaboration and development trend, and then promote industry transformation and upgrade, so as to drive Internet developing towards glorious future.
On the closing ceremony, the selection lists of “Internet in China for 20 Years” conducted by ISC on the most important events, companies and products in the last 20 years have been announced. China gained full function access to Internet, CERNET and CHINANET launched in succession and standardizing network management issued by the State Council No. 195 Ordinance are on the list of Top 10 Most Important Events. Alibaba, Baidu, Sohu etc. are listed as Top 20 Companies with most outstanding contributions to Internet. Baidu Chinese Search Engine, Baidu Map, Baofeng Video and Lottery 365 etc. are listed as the Most Valuable Products. The Agencies with most outstanding contributions are CNCERT/CC, CNIC/CNNIC and CERNET.
iResearch Group, Beijing 263 Enterprises’ Communication Co., Ltd, Beijing Wanwangzhicheng Technology Ltd. etc. won the ISC Collaboration Award due to the closely cooperation with ISC. These companies made outstanding contributions in self-regulation, Internet public interest, Internet research and services and so on.
Also, 2012-2014 China Internet Self-regulation Contribution Award issued. 30 companies including Alibaba, Antian, Baidu, Baofeng Video won the awards.
“Innovation and Creation—Seeking for China Internet Innovation and Creation Impetus” also announced the selection list, including Rongchang e Washing, Alipay Wallet, Lingxi Voice Assistance etc.
Besides, the list of 2014 Top 100 China Internet Companies has been jointly released by ISC and MIIT. The list was made based on the comprehensive evaluation of top Internet companies’ development. The list objectively reflected the management condition and development pattern of China Internet information services, which may greatly improve China Internet research and contribute to set up Internet enterprise brand.
In the Industry Observe part, Mr. LIU Dehuan, the Professor of New Media Research Institute of Peking University, Vice-president of School of Journalism & Communication of Peking University and President of China Marketing Research Association, delivered an excellent speech with the title of New Pattern and Trend of Mobile Internet.
During the “Leader Dialogue” part, Mr. ZHANG Chaoyang, the Board Chairman and CEO of Sohu and Vice President of ISC, and Mr. ZHOU Hongyi, the President and CEO of Qihoo 360 and Vice President of ISC made a wonderful dialogue. This part was hosted by LU Binbin, the President of B-Doing Communications and general producer of talk show “Hall of Fame”.
At last, Mr. HUANG Chengqing, the Vice President of ISC announced the list of “China Internet Hall of Fame”. They are Ms. HU Qiheng, Mr. QIAN Hualin, Mr. DING Lei, Mr. GAO Xinmin, Mr. LI Yanhong, Mr. LIU Yunjie, Mr. MA Huateng, Mr. MA Yun, Mr. MAO Wei, Mr. WU Jianping, Mr. ZHANG Chaoyang and Mr. ZHOU Hongyi.
