From September 23rd to 24th, the first China Digital Human Conference 2024 was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Digital Human Application and Future". Organized by the Internet Society of China(ISC), the conference brought together industry leaderships, experts and scholars, as well as elite representatives from upstream and downstream of the industry chain.

Mr. Shang Bing, President of the ISC, delivered the opening speech by using with the image of his digital human. He pointed out that the digital human is becoming an important entrance to the application of artificial intelligence, which is of great significance to promote the transformation of the Internet from "Internet +" to "AI +". He emphasized the importance of technological innovation, application implementation and industry collaboration, and called on the industry to work together to promote the healthy and orderly development of the digital human industry.

Ms. Han Xia, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-general of the Information and Communication Technology Commission of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stressed the importance of digital human in the application of artificial intelligence in her speech. She suggested to focusing on the innovative value of digital human from the overall perspective, accelerating the research and development of core technologies, promoting resource sharing and industrial cooperation, and paying attention to the expansion of application scenarios and the construction of security system, so as to create a safe, credible, healthy and orderly environment for the development of digital human industry.

Ms. Chen Jiachun, Vice President and Executive Deputy Secretary General of ISC, further elaborated on the development prospects of digital human and the efforts of the ISC in promoting the development of the digital human industry. She mentioned that based on the "China Digital Human Pilot Program" and other work foundations, ISC organize and convene the China Digital Human Conference, focusing on the key issues of the development of the digital human to discuss, and jointly promoting the implementation of technological innovation and application.

Mr. Du Guangda, Deputy Director-General of the Science and Technology Department, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, affirmed in his speech China's foundation and advantages in the development of digital human, but also pointed out the challenges and problems faced. He put forward four proposals to strengthen technology research, expand application scenarios, strengthen standard leadership and improve the governance system, hoping that the ISC could further play the role of a bridge to promote the healthy development of the digital human industry.

Mr.Tang Chao, Vice Mayor of Haidian District, said in his speech that Haidian District is accelerating the construction of the artificial intelligence industry highland, and digital human, as one of the key industrial directions for development, will receive full support from the government. He mentioned that Haidian District will support enterprises to carry out key core technology research and promote the application of digital human scene, and invited people from all walks of life to invest and develop in Haidian.

During the conference, three important reports on the development of digital human were released, and the signing ceremony of the first joint laboratories for digital human applications and a series of forum activities were held. These events provided a platform for in-depth exchanges and cooperation among participants to explore the latest applications and development trends of digital human technology.

The ISC will take the conference as a link to build a regular activity mechanism throughout the year, continue to promote the healthy development of the digital human industry, and drive the agglomeration and layout of new quality productivity factors such as artificial intelligence.
