The seminar "INTERNET IN CHINA" hosted by ISC was held in the High School Affiliated to RENMIN University of China (HSARUC) on March 1st, 2007.
 
Chairman of ISC Madam Hu Qiheng hosted the seminar. The experts attended this seminar including Standing Vice Chairman of ISC Mr. Gao Xinmin， Secretary General of ISC Mr. Huang Chengqing， a Founding Father of the Internet， Chief Internet Evangelist of Google Mr. Vint Cerf， Vice President of Google Mr. Kai-fu Lee， Member of National Informatization Expert Consultation Committee Mr. Fang Yu， CTO of Alibaba Inc. Mr. Wu Jiong， CEO of Oak Pacific Interactive Inc. Mr. Chen Yizhou and Board Chairman of Internet Laboratory Mr. Fang Xingdong.
 
Chairman of ISC Madam Hu Qiheng introduced Internet development status in China to Doctor Vint Cerf， and organized the experts to exchange views on Internet-related issues as shrinking digital divide in China， promoting education and agriculture informatization， fostering the development of small and middle-sized enterprises through e-commerce， development of web2.0 and new portals etc. Doctor Vint Cerf appreciated the Internet development in China and hoped to make efforts to strengthen exchange and cooperation with China in the future.
 
Before the seminar， experts watched P2P-based distance teaching activity organized by HSARUC that launched a teaching activity with two remote schools through the Internet.
