On June 1,2022, the "Artificial Intelligence New Infrastructure" Forum on The BAAI Conference was held online, President Shang Bing of Internet Society of China (ISC) attend the forum and delivered a speech.

Shang Bing pointed out that in recent years, our country's new artificial intelligence infrastructure has shown a rapid development trend, the scale of intelligent computing power has continued to grow rapidly, the opening and sharing of data sets has continued to accelerate, and the spillover effect of new artificial intelligence infrastructure has been obvious. Under the severe situation of the volatile international situation and repeated epidemics, it is of great significance to seize the opportunity to develop new artificial intelligence infrastructure.

He made three suggestions on how to further promote the development of new artificial intelligence infrastructure:  

The first is to improve the position and continuously consolidate the foundation for the development of the artificial intelligence industry. It is necessary to deeply understand the important basic role and leading role of the new artificial intelligence infrastructure, plan the layout from the height of the national strategy, moderately advance deployment, and insist on long-term investment.

The second is to strengthen responsibility and strive to improve the hard power of the artificial intelligence industry. It is necessary to speed up the creation of an independent industrial ecology integrating software and hardware, cultivate a group of "chain master" enterprises with technology and industrial control, and drive the upstream and downstream to continuously achieve breakthrough development.

The third is win-win cooperation and accelerate the expansion of new space for artificial intelligence economy. All sectors of government, industry, academia and research work together to promote the integration of innovative elements such as technology, capital, talents, and data in the whole society, realize the long-term sustainable development of my country's new artificial intelligence infrastructure, and jointly explore new space for economic and social development.

This forum deeply discussed key issues such as the strategic connotation, development strategies, development status and trends of basic software and hardware technologies, and typical application practices of new artificial intelligence infrastructure, and played a positive role in promoting the construction of the artificial intelligence industry.
