    CAICT, ISC and CAA released the “Research Report on Abnormal Traffic in Digital Marketing (2022)”

    In recent years, China’s digital economy has developed vigorously. Attaching great importance to the development of the digital economy, China implements Network Power Strategy and National Big Data Strategy, expands the space of the Internet economy, supports various innovations based on the Internet, and promotes the integration of Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and entities, to build a digital China and a smart society, to promote digital industrialization and industrial digitization, and to build a digital industry cluster with international competitiveness.

     

    The rapid development of the Internet is an important foundation for the construction of the digital economy. The field of digital marketing is the practitioner and pioneer of the entire digital economy. It continues to promote the prosperity of China Internet industry and digital economy; however, it also breeds huge space for traffic cheating, eroding the interests of all parties in the industry, which has adversely affected the healthy development of the entire digital marketing ecosystem. Especially in recent years, social marketing methods have developed rapidly, new media such as live broadcasts and short videos have prospered, and the “fan economy” based on traffic has risen, followed by rampant traffic fraud, which seriously affects and misleads consumers. And, it will also cause certain economic losses to consumers.

     

    On March 14, 2022, the “Digital Marketing Development and Governance Seminar” jointly sponsored by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Internet Society of China, and China Advertising Association was held online, and officially released “Research Report on Abnormal Traffic in Digital Marketing (2022)” (click to download).
